Getting Started

Installing the Add-in

    Open Microsoft AppSource

    Search for "Pipedrive Outlook Integration" on Microsoft AppSource.

    Click "Get it now"

    Sign in with your Microsoft account and confirm the installation. The add-in will appear in your Outlook ribbon.

    Open the add-in in Outlook

    Open any email, then look for the add-in icon in the toolbar or message action bar. Click it to open the CRM sidebar.

Connecting your Pipedrive Account

    Open the add-in sidebar

    Click the add-in icon while viewing any email in Outlook.

    Click "Connect with Pipedrive"

    You'll be redirected to Pipedrive's authorization page. Sign in with your Pipedrive credentials and grant access.

    Start using the integration

    Once connected, the add-in will automatically show CRM data for the sender of any email you open.

Using the Add-in

Viewing Contacts

When you open an email, the add-in automatically searches your Pipedrive CRM for the sender's email address. If a match is found, you'll see their full contact profile — name, title, organization, phone number, and email addresses. You can edit these details directly from the sidebar, and changes sync back to Pipedrive instantly.

If the sender isn't in Pipedrive yet, you'll see an option to create a new contact. Their name and email will be pre-filled from the email header.

Managing Deals

The Deals tab shows all open deals linked to the current contact. You can see the deal title, value, stage, and expected close date at a glance. Click any deal to see more details, update its stage, or add notes. You can also create new deals directly from the sidebar.

Tracking Activities

The Activities tab displays upcoming and overdue activities for the contact. Schedule calls, meetings, and tasks without leaving Outlook. Mark activities as complete when done. Overdue items are highlighted so nothing slips through the cracks.

Adding Notes

Add notes to contacts or deals right from the sidebar. Notes are synced to Pipedrive in real-time, so your team always has the latest context. You can view previous notes added by yourself or teammates.

Troubleshooting

The add-in doesn't appear in Outlook

  • Make sure you've installed the add-in from Microsoft AppSource.
  • Try restarting Outlook or refreshing the browser if using Outlook on the web.
  • Check if your organization restricts add-in installations — contact your IT admin if needed.
  • Ensure you're using a supported version of Outlook (web, Windows, or Mac).

I can't connect my Pipedrive account

  • Ensure your Pipedrive account is active and you have the correct login credentials.
  • If the authorization popup doesn't appear, check your browser's popup blocker settings.
  • Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then attempt the connection again.
  • If you're on Outlook desktop, the authorization opens in your default browser — make sure it's not blocked.

Contact data isn't showing for an email

  • The sender's email address must match a contact in your Pipedrive CRM. Check the spelling in Pipedrive.
  • If the contact was recently added, allow a moment for the data to sync.
  • You can use the "Create Contact" option to add the sender to Pipedrive directly.

Changes aren't syncing back to Pipedrive

  • Check your internet connection — the add-in requires connectivity to sync with Pipedrive.
  • Try closing and reopening the add-in sidebar.
  • If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect your Pipedrive account from the add-in settings.

The add-in is loading slowly

  • This is sometimes caused by a slow internet connection. Try refreshing the sidebar.
  • If using Outlook desktop, ensure your app is up to date.
  • Large Pipedrive accounts with many contacts may take slightly longer on first load.
